Harlequin couple

The once endangered eastern harlequin duck is still a species of special concern.  We always look to document the occurrence of this dramatic and beautiful bird on our Wildland Tours escorted vacations.  Viking Trail Experience leader Mark Tsang captured this award-winning image. The rich, ornate coloring inspired locals to call these rare ducks “Lords and Ladies”.
