whale study week - enjoy whales and seabirds!

Cape St. Mary’s provides amazing land-based seabird watching.  During the summer whales will also come close to these dramatic cliffs so our Whale Study Week guests can watch their underwater behaviours.  Guests are amazed to see that humpbacks flip over or turn upside down almost immediately upon diving.  We then watch them join the seabirds in pursuit of the schooling caplin.
 
Some years the land-based whale watching is more dramatic than what we observe from the boats!
