Icebergs
have long been associated with Newfoundland and Labrador. From
the ice castles of St. Brendan to the tragedy of the Titanic,
Newfoundland and Labrador is famous for icebergs. Guests wanting
to see icebergs should take our June departures. The Viking
Trail itinerary usually features more icebergs than our eastern
Newfoundland holiday. On the Viking Trail Experience we often
see icebergs well into July and we offer guests the option of an
iceberg boat trip on this escorted tour. Any photographer lucky
enough to capture a good image featuring both an iceberg and a
whale in one frame is likely to be the front runner in our
annual Adventure Newfoundland and Wildland Tour photography
contest.
